One Nevada Agreement

The One Nevada Agreement is an intrastate allocation agreement with all the state’s counties and litigating cities, which provide a mechanism for the allocation of any opioid-related settlement funds in the state. The intrastate allocation agreement ensures that funds from any future settlements are allocated between the state and local governments as a whole in a fair and equitable manner. The agreement allows for the State’s Attorney General’s Office to represent in partnership with Washoe County’s District Attorney’s Office to litigate for opioid recoveries. Under the agreement, Washoe County receives a proportional share of the 38.77% in local government allocation (6.841995% specifically) of all recovered funds.

Over the next 20 years, Washoe County expects to receive about $41 million to be used for programs, services, capital investments, and other eligible uses identified in individual settlement agreements.
